Step 3. Porcelain and Tile Refinishing
Porcelain and ceramic tile can be beautiful restored to look and feel like “new through the process of refinishing. Refinishing involves the application of an incredibly durable and resilient hi-tech finish.
Refinishing allows a porcelain or tile fixture to be repaired or the color changed right where it is, without removal. This process is quick and almost always less expensive than replacement. Most people would have a hard time telling the difference between a new bathtub and a tub refinished by Affordable Handyman. With a restored smooth, glossy surface, a bathtub is much easier to keep clean. Another benefit of refinishing ceramic tile is that grout line are also sealed which significantly reduces the forming of mold and mildew. Refinishing is very durable and should last 10-15 years with proper care.

Procedure
The surface is cleaned using a special two-step process to remove soap film, oils, and hard water deposits. Any chip, scratch, or other damage is then filled and repaired. Affordable Handyman’s proprietary bonding agent is applied to chemically “bonds” the new finish onto the old surface. An advanced top coat of either an acrylic or urethane based material is applied last to create a bright, glossy surface. Porcelain and ceramic tile jobs normally carry a 10 year warranty.
